Mud, Markets & Mum Life: My Weekend at Tocal
This weekend at Tocal Field Days cracked me open a little.
What started as three days of selling dog treats turned into a mud-soaked emotional rollercoaster. With my partner away, no dogs allowed, and a stall sinking into ankle-deep sludge, I felt completely alone… until a few incredible people—Jackie, Rory, and Jo—stepped in and reminded me that friends can show up when you least expect it.
Between market chaos, late-night mum duties, and questioning if any of this was worth it, I found moments of laughter, kindness, and the spark that keeps me going. This one’s for the mums, the marketeers, and anyone trying to hold it all together with a smile and a soggy pair of boots.
